About Rebecca

I purchased my first home in my 20’s, when I lived in Texas. It’s been a couple of decades but, who’s counting? I can still remember how I felt when I unlocked the front door of my new home for the first time. I remember thinking that I was doing what was known as the “American Dream” and that everyone should become a homeowner and experience all the benefits of owning your own space. For the next few decades, I had a satisfying career with General Electric, professional speaking and training in corporations. As life evolves and our needs influence us, I felt the need to not travel so much & connect with a community after having visited every state in the US (at least 3 times) and over 8 foreign countries. In 2008, I fell in love with RVA and decided to make it the community I wanted to connect with and serve. I paused for a minute and did a “think tank” on a career change that led me to become a realtor. This career transition fulfilled my desire to help everyone to have a slice of the “American Dream”. I have been licensed to practice real estate in Virginia since 2016. I love the process of helping folks sell a home and find a new one. The real estate process is an inspiration for me every time. I love helping first time homebuyers overcome hurdles and be triumphant in getting their first home. Over my years in real estate, I have helped newlyweds find their waterfront dream home, helped single dads and moms start the next chapter of their of lives in a new location with their children, helped new parents find a bigger home to grow with their families, and helped single folks and folks that have non-traditional relationships find a place to build their new memories. The diversity that each transaction brings into my life is a gift: new people, new experiences, new knowledge, and new discoveries…all gifts! Real estate and all that it offers lets me go into each new transaction with more empowered skills to provide every client higher levels of customer service, ease of transaction, integrity and abilities to get them a home they love. When you love what you do, it is not hard to go the EXTRA mile and be creative in meeting and exceeding your client’s desires. I am pretty lucky to be a part of one of the most important processes of someone’s life and I look forward to the next new adventure every day!
