I had interviewed three Realty Companies and Mike Karras was the most engaging, knowledgeable, and had the best personality of the three. His knowledge of the area, values, and professionalism was fully displayed with limited access to the property due to tenants that worked full time and had children and a dog, so arranging to show the home had to be scheduled each time by Mike. I wanted to start at a higher price than perhaps he would have recommended, but I just wanted to be sure I did not underprice the property. I had opinions of value from all three realty companies, so I used the highest to start. The property stayed on the market for a while, so I was satisfied with reducing the price. The final selling price was around the average mid-price from the original three opinions of value. The closing was easy, and Mike Karras arranged all the inspections and other paperwork for the sale. In addition, before the final walk-through on the day of the closing, Mike went to the property and gave it a once over cleaning and final touches. This home was a family property that had been in my family since 1953 and selling it was bitter-sweet, but Mike made the experience rewarding and easier to accept. There is no doubt in my mind that if I were to sell another property Mike would be my first choice.
