From day one when we had the pleasure meeting Ms. Melinda Thede, we knew we were on the right track from doing the research on the current market, and the right approach to use, from pointing out where do and where not do, and always on time, and keeping us informed of any issues that might come up, great working with her. Buying real estate is a battle, especially in the Atlanta area, and no one will work harder for you than Melinda. We were in a summer market where homes would be under contract after the first day/weekend so we needed someone that had strategies and experience to help us get a home. When we were under contract with a difficult (scummy) seller, she guided us through. When that seller failed to show to closing, she was there to help us rebound and make sure we lost no money. And two weeks later, thanks to her hard work, we were under contract for a new house. While we toured homes, she played advocate for us - she'd go into attics to find if there was something amiss, she pointed things out like foundation cracks that to our eyes we didn't see while touring, she was incredibly quick and responsive to our questions over text/email... basically the best agent for our situation we could have wished for. We were also new to the area so the inspectors, lenders, attorneys - everyone she recommended ended up being an absolute delight to work with. Her stance on everything was to protect our money and investment. I can't recommend her enough for anyone who truly needs someone to ride into the real estate battle with them. Melinda came to the rescue when our first agent had a family emergency. She was able to pick up right where we left off and went above and beyond to help us understand the process in this competitive market. She was great at answering all my questions and I have kids.

We are first-time home buyers. The housing market is incredibly hot right now, and I’d been told horror stories from multiple coworkers about having 5+ offers rejected, bidding wars, losing houses, and one who had a seller increase the sale price during the offer window! When we started looking, houses were getting offers the day they went on the market. Melinda was very flexible when scheduling to see houses - my husband works 12 hour days and she would meet us at night to see houses because otherwise, they’d get snapped up. When we found a house we wanted, we listened to her advice and put in the offer she recommended based on her conversation with the seller. Melinda is not afraid to get on the phone and make some calls! Our offer got accepted! We couldn’t believe it. The rest of the process went smoothly, until the afternoon before closing when our lender told us they hadn’t received the clear to close. They wanted to push our closing back to just before Christmas, which would have been a huge problem with movers and my husband’s job. Melinda and the seller’s agent worked together to come up with a solution. Melinda even made a last-minute trip to the lender’s office to see if she could get answers. Again, she made lots of calls and wasn’t afraid to get on the phone. We found Melinda to be communicative, flexible, and overall a pleasure to work with. She never tried to upsell us or go out of our price range. We feel like she had our backs the entire process and are now sitting happily in our very first house. 100% recommend!
