Melanie holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master's in Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She brings a unique blend of skills to the table. Her background in writing and advertising allows her to vividly illustrate the unique attributes of each home, making them not just places to live, but stories waiting to be lived.
Melanie’s years in choreography have honed her somatic awareness and communication skills. She understands the unspoken needs and desires of her clients and approaches every interaction with the precision and grace of a seasoned performer. Melanie works to ensure her client’s home buying and selling journeys feel like a well-rehearsed dance.
With over 20 artistic residencies and awards under her belt, Melanie knows what it means to excel and is dedicated to bringing that same level of excellence to her real estate career. She is a highly accoladed professional and was named a Bessie Award Recipient in 2017 and Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in 2021. She has also been celebrated in the New York Times for her work with Dance Union.
When she’s not busy making real estate magic happen, you can find her taking center stage as a dance artist. Melanie enjoys local adventures with her husband and is a devoted paw-rent to an albino Doberman named Topaz.
