Last year, 2017, I had some interest in looking at houses to buy. I reached out to a lender who told me I had to make triple my income to be able to afford a decent home and I was very discouraged. Before I was turned down by the lender, I had already requested some information on a condo and then received a call from Matt. He called to introduce himself to me, gave me some information about the condo I was interested in and asked me if I had a pre-approval in place. This is when I told him I couldn’t go through with buying because I wasn’t making tripple what the condo was worth, and Matt gave me hope! However, I didn’t start looking at homes until April of this year. My husband and I met with Matt, told him what we were looking for, and he gave us his professional input on every question we had. Our first meeting, as first-time homebuyers, was like a class with Matt teaching us everything we needed to know. The following week, we started looking at places and it was a great thing! The place we bought wasn’t actually on our list but Matt suggested based on what he learned we liked and were looking for in a home.. We placed a bid, and just closed on it. I will say, Matt is very professional, responsive and fun to work with. I asked him SO many questions and they were answered right away. He does not mind TEACHING you if you are not familiar with some things. It was a pleasure for my husband and I to work with him and I just wish that everybody works with Matt. Our first experience with home-buying was perfect because of him.
