We relocated to VA because of work. We knew we wanted to buy a house but did not know who to use as a realtor. One of our trusted friends recommended Matt. From the very beginning Matt and his team we very knowledgeable and kind. They treated us more like we were really good friends, not just a client. Matt and his team showed us several houses and never made us feel like we were wasting their time. They kept telling us to take as long as we needed to find the perfect home. Knowing what we were looking for, Matt recommended a home that we fell in love with and bought. When we were ready to sell our home, Matt came over and gave us several recommendations that would help our house stand out. We listened to him and followed his advice, then listed the house for sale. Because of his knowledge and expertise, our home sold above the asking price in two days. We were relocating and had to do a virtual closing. Matt’s assistant, Colleen, arranged everything with closing. We also had several personal items we wanted to offer to the new owners. I feel so lucky that I crossed paths with Matt! I found Matt very early on in my home search and he gave me a lot of valuable advice about the buying process/how to get started, what sort of properties/areas to consider, and just general home improvement advice and things to look out for. I feel Matt was always making recommendations that were tailored to me and in my best interests, and also alerted me to a couple of areas that weren't the safest. He wasn't pushy at all but I asked a lot of questions and for his input because I don't know much about houses. Matt seems to know a lot of people in the industry and clearly has a ton of experience. He and my lender coordinated on very short notice so that I could submit an offer with all of the paperwork that would make my offer most attractive, and the seller ended up accepting that offer. While under contract, he coordinated with my lender, the title company, inspection services, etc. so that I was dealing with as few faces as possible, making the home buying process very easy. Matt is very friendly and trustworthy and I highly recommend him.

In our first conversation, Matt listened to my priorities and situation and shaped the preparation, listing and sale process in a way that reflected my circumstances very well. Matt has very good knowledge of the NVA market. Contractors Matt oversaw performed work to bring the unit to show quality. He managed staging and listing. He factored in my feedback about all of these aspects, which made me feel like we had partnered in the effort. He also gave me honest advice when it was different from what I thought. While every sale is different, the month we took for me to move out and the team to prepare the unit resulted in an 11-day listing and sale via the first offer.
