Mary was an invaluable partner in our search for a property to build a custom home in the Woodside/Atherton area. We live abroad and the vast majority of our time searching was conducted with Mary online. She was extremely responsive and easy to reach despite working in different time zones. I sometimes question whether she sleeps at all. She provided research, explained the area to us thoroughly, did comp reports, previewed suitable properties, sent videos and pictures and prepared detailed notes about every property we considered for many months. We met Mary by chance at a showing in the area we were interested in and it was immediately apparent that she was professional and knowledgeable. We needed help selling our current home and buying a new one, and she made such a good first impression that we quickly asked her to be our agent. It was one of the best decisions we made in our home buying and selling adventures. We had a pretty good idea of the kind of thing we wanted and Mary helped us by doing a lot of really awesome things: 1) Set a detailed plan and timeline for getting all the moving parts of the process together. This was incredibly important as we needed to move out of our current place & sell it in order to afford the purchase of a new home. 2) Set us up with a network of folks who helped with all the odds and ends of moving (staging, moving, contract work, painting, lending, etc.) 3) Supported our search for a new house by setting up alerts within the area we cared about 4) Always had our backs on negotiations and looked for creative ways to help us get what we needed. Super assertive and advocating. 5) Was SUPER on top of things, organized and prompt in responding. We always had good knowledge of what was going on and where we were with everything from offers, to available houses, to loans. We know we weren't her only client but it felt like we were. 6) Up front, honest, and realistic without being brusque. If things were gonna be tough or there was likely to be a problem in what we wanted, we would know about it and it was easy to have a discussion on what to do. 7) Ultimately helped us get exactly what we wanted both in terms of selling our house and buying the house we wanted Can't say enough good things about Mary. Hopefully we never need to move again, but if we do we'd call her in a heartbeat.
Mary is phenomenal. She is an expert in her field and with her help we were able to find and purchase our first home within the span of three weeks. She was always available, and understood very well what we were looking for, in a way that really made the whole process very smooth. In addition to just being a great professional, Mary is the sweetest person; she is respectful and understanding, willing to explain everything in detail without hesitating for a second, even if you are asking the same question multiple times. Being first time buyers, it was important to us to have somebody to guide us through the process and Mary was absolutely the best person to do that. We would totally recommend her as the level of service we received throughout the entire home buying process with Mary exceeded our expectations.
