My home sale was complicated due to an ugly, five-year-long battle with a billion-dollar insurance company's homeowner's claims' process. As a result of being referred to an unlicensed, uninsured remediation contractor with no bonding, (as discovered by my City's investigation), I was forced to sell the home. This illegal contractor had already ripped out all ceilings, drywall, insulation and wiring and placed all household contents in three disparately located storage facilities in three counties far from my home's location in Oakland County, Michigan!
