I was fortunate to recently work with Marsha DeCosta when I was purchasing a camp and land in Wiscasset, Maine. She was fantastic! She constantly communicated with me, she was open, honest, and completely trustworthy. Marsha helped me to understand the current real estate market and she helped me in making my decision to buy. We discussed the complicated aspects to valuing the camp and deciding on contingencies, mortgage possibilities, and making the right offer. After I made the decision to buy, she guided me through all the intricacies of online documents and electronic signatures, and the whole amazing jungle of real estate transactions. I met with her at the camp, made the offer after an hour of discussion, and signed all the “papers” (online) that evening, and the agreement was done by 10pm (note that she kept working until 10pm to make sure the deal got done). The big picture: We met at 4 pm and the deal was done by 10 pm. I’m absolutely amazed that we got so much done in that short time. And it was all due to Marsha’s expertise. Afterward, a friend asked me if I felt any buyer’s remorse and my immediate answer was, “Absolutely not!” Marsha’s honesty, integrity, intelligence, and expertise enabled me to feel completely confident in all steps of the process. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
We decided to work with Marsha because of her outstanding reviews and were not disappointed. We started looking for a house between Portland and Topsham, Maine in December 2020, at the height of the Covid pandemic. Turned out that the market was slow with not much inventory. This required extra patience and knowledge about the market. Marsha never disappointed. Our circumstances were a little unusual because we were looking for a house big enough to include an extended family, difficult anytime but especially so during the pandemic. After having Marsha be our realtor for buying a house and how great we felt when everything was done, there wasn’t any question to who we wanted to sell our house when work took us out of Maine. She was amazing to work with for both stressful transactions but you wouldn’t know they were stressful because of the way she was so diligent to make it as seamless as possible. To say she really cares is an understatement. She took her own (time that she didn’t have to) to prep the house for sale and put in an incredible effort to make things fall right into place. She was the sole reason why our house sold and might I add sold very quickly. With being out of state for the second transaction but being in person for the first one, we didn’t notice any difference. It was as if we were her only client. Such a personable, knowledgable professional with the highest drive to make her clients happy. I wish she could be our realtor for every transaction we will ever do.
