Miracle Marissa! Cannot Recommend Enough!

We connected with Marissa at an open house and right away Marissa stepped up to learn our wants and needs to better help us find our home. As first time home buyers, we were nervous and unsure of the process, but Marissa met with us and broke down every step. She made herself easily available for any question that we had and was very responsive. We (very, very) quickly found our dream house and Marissa wasn't afraid to work swiftly with us to put our offer in (and under asking!). She connected us with fantastic mortgage lenders and insurance brokers. She also helped us to find inspectors, roofers, electricians, foundation and drainage people, cleaners ... the works! In many ways her hard work did not stop after we closed on our house and she has been a valuable resource for the additional work that the house needs. We really could not have done it without her and we are endlessly grateful for all of the hard work and expertise she put in helping us to purchase our home. We highly recommend Marissa to anyone looking to purchase or sell a home in the East Bay!

Excellent Agent!

We first met Marissa at an open house last year, and she immediately stood out for how knowledgeable and approachable she was. As first-time homebuyers, we really appreciated how she took the time to walk us through the buying process and educate us along the way. She had all the right local connections from mortgage lenders to plumbers and carpet cleaners—the list goes on—which made every step so much smoother. Throughout the process she was incredibly hands on, communicative, and patient, always available to answer our many questions. Her expertise and relationships in the area are what ultimately helped us get our home, and we’re so grateful. On top of that, her great personality made the entire experience enjoyable and even fun along the way. We would highly recommend Marissa to anyone looking to buy or sell in the East Bay!

Outstanding Agent

Marissa is a fantastic realtor and we would strongly recommend her for anyone looking for an agent. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with, and she really helped us to find the features that were most important to us to guide our home search. It took quite a few houses before we found one that we wanted to make an offer on, but we never felt pressured to settle (and in fact after getting to know what we were looking for, she would actually remind us why a place wouldn't be right for us if it was clearly missing something we wanted). Instead of stepping back once the offer was accepted, she went out of her way throughout the entire closing process to fight for us and try to get the best outcome she could for us. She even provided recommendations for experts to work with on house projects that we wanted done after the close. She really went above and beyond anything we expected.

The Agent you want in your corner!

Marissa helped me find and secure my perfect home in Alameda, even in this competitive market. From our first meeting, she quickly understood my needs and preferences, honing in on the ideal location and home for me. Her deep market knowledge, attention to detail, and proactive approach stood out—she considered everything from a home’s condition to its expansion potential. She goes above and beyond, approaching the neighbors to get the scoop first hand about the community. She's no shrinking violet! When we found the perfect place, she moved fast, negotiated off-market, and managed the entire process seamlessly. Thanks to her expertise and guidance, we closed without a hitch. She was tenacious in getting me this house and I appreciate her more than words can express.

Dedicated, Honest and Tireless- Thank you Marissa

Marissa is wonderful to work with. House buying is inherently stressful. You need to work with someone who understands the local market, understands your needs and give honest feedback about what is going to work for you or not. Marissa is communicative, driven and perhaps most importantly, a pleasure to spend time with. If you need to spend hours with an agent visiting listings, you want to actually enjoy spending time with them. When it came time to purchase and actually close the deal, Marissa took the time to always make sure we fully understood what was happening, to make sure we were comfortable and felt heard in what can be an overwhelming, fast-paced process. Prior to that she also took her time to explain what to expect in the house buying process, and she also helped arrange walk through inspections that was invaluable to us in the bidding process. After we closed she continued to work tirelessly to help us arrange contractor work, and take care of little details to make our lives easier. She's got great contacts for insurance, mortgage, contractors, movers, etc. I'm glad we placed our trust in Marissa!

Knowledge, Energy, and Commitment

Marissa tackled our very specific requirements with relentless energy, educating us as she scoured listings and reach out to associates looking for the perfect unicorn. When we went into escrow, she walked us through each step, helped us keep our senses of humor, and was there whenever we needed her.

Great great great!

Marissa was fantastic. We worked with her for approximately a year and a half, and she worked tirelessly to help us find a house that fit us. And after we found it, she worked tirelessly (and with great savvy) to help us make a smart and winning offer. Since we closed, she has continued to help us with numerous post-purchase matters (e.g., finding contractors for some work we're doing, getting movers lined up, etc.), which has been a tremendous help. We like her so much that we invited her to our wedding celebration!

Real Estate Agent Extraordinaire

I’ve known Marissa for more than 20 years. Way back in the DotCom era, she owned/ran the PR firm where I worked as a VP. Marissa is an exceptional strategist and leader. She gets things done. I loved working with her back then, so when I needed to sell my house in Walnut Creek knowing that she has transitioned from PR to Real Estate, she was the first person I thought of to sell my place. She lined up all the experts I needed to sell my house for the best possible price. Her network of experts includes organizers, interior designers, landscapers, movers. You have a need? She knows the right person. And because Marissa’s professional background is in PR/marketing, she knows what’s best to communicate the real value of your home. I highly recommend Marissa.

I know for a fact, my life is better for having met and worked with Marissa Harrison.

Each type of purchase or sale, comes with its own steady stream of questions, choices, and consequences. Financial opportunities and emotional challenges accompany every step of the process; having the right agents along side is everything. Marissa Harrison stood out in a number of key ways. The timing of the sale meant that I could not manage the day-to-day tasks of preparing the house, moving out of the house, and getting it ready for market. I had to be hands-off. I was able to trust Marissa with everything from finding the right vendors to help pack up the home to leaving the state before the house was prepared, staged and opened for sale. Without Marissa’s turnkey service from our first meeting to the close of escrow, I know the process would have taken longer and had less desirable financial results. Clearly, this year has been a roller coaster in the real estate world with perceptions and attitudes changing almost daily. Marissa’s communication kept me informed about the process allowing us to troubleshoot problems when they arose. At the price point of the house in Piedmont buyers had multiple and specific expectations. Marissa was able to negotiate to increase the buyer's offer and remove unnecessary conditions. I felt thoroughly supported through a stressful and emotional journey. Marissa was not only sensitive to the history of the home, neighborhood but also my needs throughout the emotional journey of moving on to the next chapter — with more than a pocket full of cash. It is my pleasure to say that Marissa stands out, not only as an outstanding agent, but as a wonderful human being. Months later after the sale is long completed she is someone I trust enough to still turn to for advice.

We highly recommend Marissa!

Marissa did an incredible job for us, and we're sitting in a beautiful new home as a result! Marissa was persistent, knowledgeable, connected, and patient. And, on top of all that, she's a blast to spend time with. Marissa met my wife at an open house that Marissa was putting on at a time when we were only casually looking for a new home. She reached out to us and spent plenty of her time talking to us about the whole process before we even agreed to work with her. Once we started looking with Marissa in earnest, Marissa was an invaluable advocate. She made herself available to look at homes at all hours and came prepared to any viewing with detailed information about the home and neighborhood. She had an experienced eye for any potential problem areas in the homes we viewed. She rolled up her sleeves, knocked on doors, and talked to neighbors to help us get a true sense of what it would be like to live in each home we considered. When Marissa didn't have an answer herself, she always knew someone who did, from her foundation guy to her negotiation guru. And, most importantly, Marissa was able help us understand what all the information about each house meant when considering the house as both a home and an investment. Marissa was patient with us as our preferences shifted and flowed. She gave us a straightforward assessment of each house but never applied any pressure. When we finally find a house after a couple months of working with Marissa and seeing her almost every weekend, our toddler was very disappointed to learn that Marissa didn't come with the house! We can't recommend Marissa enough.

She's the one!

Our family was outgrowing a cozy 1300 square foot house and we spent at least 3 years struggling to find a larger place that ticked enough of our boxes. My wife met Marisa at an open house and knew that Marisa was the one. Fast forward 6 months and Marisa (working with Lucas Cannon) helped us get into a larger home that was perfect for us, all things considered. She also helped us sell our house quickly, off market, in an impressive win-win deal. How did Marisa help? First, Marisa is a hustler and a force of nature. Inventory is low, so she produced a list of homes that met our criteria and said “show me which house(s) you want, and I will contact the owners. When we didn’t have success in the first three months, she redoubled her efforts. We met see if preferences had changed and then she went back to work. She got us access to houses in various stages of renovation before they came to market. In what was (and is) a tough market, I felt like we had the absolute best shot with her working for us. Marisa also listened well and prioritized understanding our needs. She spent the time to get to know us, but also respected our time as busy parents with jobs. She has a fun, entertaining interview style. I think that her process helps her work efficiently--before we found the place, each home she showed us was very close. I appreciate that she really listened to us and respected our time. Marisa constantly gave good advice that, time showed, was accurate. Particularly with selling a house, she was able to pick up the reins and get things done (e.g., staging, inspections, fixing things up) and let us sit back. She works with some great, economical, and efficient people. We opted to have some more control of things, which perhaps saved us a few dollars but also certainly led to more headaches for us! If you want a tireless worker in your corner, if you’re having some trouble and need an edge, if you want mover and shaker, Marisa is the one to call! Josh Sussman

Get the best: get Marissa

We are first-time home-buyers, and one of the first things that impressed us about Marissa was the mini detailed lecture she gave us the very first time we spoke. She clarified so many tiny aspects of the process in such a short amount of time - she answered questions we would have never even known to ask. Then, she dropped everything and met us an hour later to view the house we eventually bought. THIS is the type of agent you want: helpful, thorough, knowledgeable, fast. Marissa helped manage the process every step of the way. I am 1000% certain we would not have gotten our dream home without her. She was hands-on with every single detail: helping us organize inspections; communication with the lender (who she helped us find!) the listing agent, the title company, and everyone else a buyer comes into contact with throughout the process. We had an absolutely bizarre hiccup at the end (discovered a defect in the title 1 week prior to closing) and not only did she help us understand what was going on, and help us fix it, she called a "def-con 5" level alert and brought in her entire office to help us get across the finish line. We're beyond happy with our experience with Marissa and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house in this wacky market!
