Marissa represented me for a home that I was selling as a personal representative for an estate. There were several unexpected twists and turns that she helped me navigate. These included negotiating responses to the buyers' request for a significant price reduction following the home inspection and the lender's stipulation that I (as the seller) sign an agreement to escrow funds and supervise repairs to the home as a condition for the lender to extend a conventional loan to the buyers. Ultimately, with Marissa's expertise, the sale was successfully concluded and in such a way that the sales price of the home was not negatively affected and the requested repairs are being being handled directly between the buyers and their lender. Marissa is very knowledgeable but I think one of her most impressive qualities was she recognized when to seek additional advice especially given some of the unusual developments in this transaction. I would highly recommend her!

We were connected to Marissa through word of mouth, and are so thrilled we were. Marissa helped us find a beautiful historic house in a neighborhood we may not have otherwise considered. New to the area, she took us on bike tours to see houses and get the feel for streets, and pointed out great restaurants, grocery stores, and parks. Beyond that, Marissa’s experience in restoring historic homes was key in navigating the many wobbly basements, fire-hazard wiring, and interesting plumbing solutions that old Detroit houses have to offer. Her suggestion to scope the sewer in our inspection period saved us thousands of dollars. I think it is fair to say we will be better homeowners because of working with Marissa. As first time home owners, Marissa was an amazing resource on the process of buying a home, and helped our house closing stay the course through the many snafus that coronavirus presented. She also was respectful of our health, wore a mask, and followed safety protocols which we especially appreciated. If that is not enough, Marissa is a kind, genuine human and the kind of person you want on your team. Purchasing a home means you’ll spend a lot of time with your real estate agent, and we were privileged to spend so much time with Marissa.

Marissa was incredibly knowledgeable about all the vast Detroit neighborhoods as well as the suburbs surrounding Detroit. She was patient and encouraging when my fiancé and I couldn't agree on a house I was in love with and he hated. We spent almost 6 months searching for the right house for us and she never lost enthusiasm or excitement throughout the process. She is knowledgeable about repairs needed as well as rehabbing rough cost which was very helpful to us as we are going to do a lot of our own remodeling. She was always readily available as soon as a listing came up that we really liked she made sure we saw it first. Marissa was so helpful finding my fiance and I an amazing home. She started sending us houses before we were pre-approved just to see what was out there so we could start putting a list of must-haves. After we were pre-approved, she was on it with scheduling and getting us in to see what we wanted (which was A LOT, sorry Marissa!).
