As an out of state seller (I was returning back to the US after living overseas for several years), who was not moving back to California - I already had the cards against me. Geographically separated, tenants that would move out of my home who weren’t the kindest in their treatment of my home - and coming back to a new stressful job + trying to look for a house in a sellers’ market… Goodness! The stress was piled on! But Lucia! Thank goodness for Lucia! Not only did she walk me through the process - she made sure to schedule phone appointments with me to ensure I understood everything and had a chance to ask questions. Ever responsive to my needy phone calls and emails - I appreciate the briskness of her assistance to my issues. She quickly coordinated things between my property management, my tenants, and the home buyers. She was a soothing balm to my nerves, and I greatly appreciate her for it. Lucia Hegge was recommended to my wife and me by an agent we worked with in Paso Robles. We had decided to sell a rental property in Santa Maria and contacted Lucia to help guide us through the selling process. The property needed an upgrade to both the interior and exterior parts of the property. Lucia was very helpful in recommending specific repairs to make while keeping in mind the cost of these repairs and the return that we would get from these investments. Once the repairs and decorations had been completed, Lucia recommended a “soft” staging which allowed us to present the house to prospective buyers in an attractive setting without the cost of staging. Lucia handled the marketing and walk-thru scheduling. We received 11 offers within a week, most of which were above the asking price. A buyer was selected shortly after and closing occurred within 2 weeks. Obviously, we are elated with the results achieved by Lucia. I live out of town and had a second home . I decided to sell it and contacted Lucia based on a high recommendation that I was given. Lucia was very professional and attended to every detail and made the sale of my home painless. She was on top of every step. We sold the house with the week. We are the sellers and the transaction was handled remotely as we live out of state. Lucia handled our listing like a professional and on many occasions took on the responsibility of the buyer's agent (including the final walk through when the buyer's agent failed to show and couldn't be reached). The buyer's agent did very little and caused numerous transactional problems for both us and the buyer. Our only regret is that we could not give Lucia the buyer's agent's commission. Lucia did most of the work.

Lucia fought for my best interests. Kept me informed through the entire selling process and went above and beyond many times to make sure the property was presentable. Since I was remote and could not do the things necessary, she stepped up and made it happen. We got a good price and she kept the obstacles to a minimum.

As an out-of-area buyer, lots of situations required immediate remote attention to ensure a hassle free and timely closing in a covid-19 environment. Lucia was readily available, and always responsive to the various constituencies involved in the transaction.
