Leslie Rivera helped me buy my beautiful new condominium in Florida. It was a pleasure and joy to work with her! I clicked on a Realtor.com link inquiring about a listing I fell in love with and Leslie answered. The condominium was a bit over my price range. As a first-time buyer at age 66, I was nervous about the entire process. Leslie explained all the steps ~ prequalify for a mortgage, proof of funds, and the things to consider about the buying process in her gentle, competent, and kind manner. She recommended competent, efficient and relatable people ~ the appraiser, mortgage broker, and title company. I was outbid on the first condominium I saw by a cash offer that came in higher than mine after the seller verbally accepted my bid but before they signed the contract. Leslie handled delivering that news of a lost bid directly, clearly and swiftly. In fact, Leslie responded immediately to every one of my texts, calls or emails throughout the process. The day after I was outbid, I found a new listing for a condominium I liked even better on Realtor.com at 10:42 pm. I texted Leslie to put a bid in on it. She sent the bid in bright and early the next morning. My bid was accepted later that day. I closed 27 days later. My closing took less than 50 minutes. I will add it was a remote purchase ~ I didn’t see the condominium physically until the walkthrough an hour before the closing and going to the title company to sign the papers. It was a foreign seller. I am self employed and have an unusual job. Plus, the seller’s broker didn’t bother to show up at the closing so there were no keys to give me.
