After a successful career as a top executive working with some of California's most notable law firms, Leslie DuFresne decided to follow her heart and move to Florida full time to pursue her passion for real estate. She is thrilled to partner with the Lakewood Ranch office of Premier Sotheby's International Realty for this exciting new chapter. Leslie is a member of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee. During her 30-year career in the legal industry, Leslie was heavily involved in real estate transactions. For the last several years, she was a strategic team member with a global real estate firm. Whether finalizing the terms of a commercial lease agreement, completing a multimillion-dollar contract or leading one of many substantial tenant projects (one of which won a project of the year award), Leslie is a skilled negotiator who can apply her knowledge of real estate to advance the goals of her customers. Leslie is a firm believer that people do business with those they like, know and trust. As a business owner and REALTOR®, Leslie is fiercely committed to treating her customers like they are family members, not a transaction. As a graduate of an esteemed leadership program at Harvard University, Leslie has a solid understanding of business strategies and is equipped to work with investors as well as individuals. Born in Chicago and raised in California, Leslie is half-Canadian and spent many summers in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, as a child. The daughter of former Ice Capades skaters, Leslie herself was a competitive skater and hockey player in her youth. For the past 12 years, she served as an American Cancer Society board member, volunteering countless hours with the organization. When she's not working or volunteering, Leslie enjoys kayaking, paddleboarding and practicing yoga. She loves taking her two Labrador retrievers on long walks or to the beach, and visiting the local farmers markets on the weekends.
