As first-time buyers, working with Laurie Baker as our agent was an excellent experience. We were in regular communication with her for over a year before we were ready to seriously start looking and she was so patient and helpful that whole time, she never pressured us. Even if you’re casually looking and don’t think you’re ready to start working with an agent yet, don’t hesitate to contact her. She sent us customized market reports/listings that met our super-specific criteria (we had an exact map/requirements) and cut through all the noise we would get from Redfin/Zillow so we didn't waste our time sorting through listings we'd never take seriously! We were stressed and overwhelmed by the super competitive LA market but she has a deep knowledge of market trends in each neighborhood in the South Bay and Culver City. She told us about properties that would be listed soon and weren't showing up online yet so we would be in the best position to schedule a time to see them when they did go live on the market. She walked us through the process of getting pre-approved for a loan so we would be ready to make an offer in a hot market. She was alway quick to contact the seller's agents for any properties we were interested in and would get helpful inside info and answers to inform our next steps. When we fell in love with our dream home and then heard the seller had just accepted another offer we were SO deflated, but Laurie had the foresight to propose that we submit a backup offer just in case. She knew just how to structure the offer and it was accepted right away. We tried not to get our hopes up but she was completely right… the first offer fell through and we were suddenly in escrow on our dream home! Escrow was a whirlwind but she kept everyone on track with what needed to be done and made sure we understood and were comfortable with everything happening. Of course buying a house is stressful but Laurie put us at ease. We will definitely work with her again!

Laurie got us everything we needed and fought for us. It was an out of town transaction for her but her knowledge on the area and price points was still outstanding. She made sure we got everything we asked for and followed through until it was completed. She even helped us out with things that came up after our transaction was complete.
