Laura was great every step of the process. She made my first home purchase almost effortless on my end. I found my property the first day it was listed, and Laura toured it the next morning, got an offer ready, and had it accepted all within about 3 or 4 days. I bought the home sight unseen from California, so she walked through the entire property with me via WhatsApp several times throughout the process to show me everything in detail. It was an older home, so we asked for a few repairs, including the water heater, and she got everything negotiated. We live in central NY and after visiting Elizabeth City a couple of times previously, we wanted to further investigate the area as a possible retirement location. We found Lauri in an on-line real estate forum for NE NC realtors and once the connection was made, we planned a week long trip to the area. Prior to arriving, she did numerous virtual house walk throughs using a video/audio phone app so we could see the properties and hear her impressions of them. This really helped us to eliminate some houses from our consideration so our in person visit would be more productive. At the end of the week we were decided that the area was the place to relocate to but we were undecided on a house. Lauri was instrumental in writing and executing our offer, coordinating all negotiations, and arranging for various inspection and closing services for the property. She was also very efficient at doing follow-up work to make sure due diligence items were completed prior to closing. We were a little concerned about doing all these things without being present in NC, but Lauri's communication and attention to detail and the tasks at hand put our minds at ease. From our current home in NY we were confident we could count on her to be our eyes, ears and hands in getting things done for the new place in Elizabeth City.
