Although not an Austin Native, my heart officially belongs to Texas. I love everything about this town. From the moment I arrived I have explored everything from plunging into beautiful Hamilton Pools, hiking Sculpture Falls and exploring the Longhorn Caverns with my Blue Nose Pit Princess. I must admit I also gained the infamous Texas 20… Those who are new to Austin know what this is… there is no shortage of amazing food here and coupled with a heart stomping music scene, why live anywhere else?
When I am not actively helping clients with Real Estate I am usually on auditions either on location here in Austin or in Los Angeles for movies and commercials. With a few credits under my belt it is just as exciting as Real Estate. I am also a member of the Junior League here in Austin where I spend precious time staying involved with community in all manners of service.
On the south side of the Colorado River is Barton Hills. Apartments are bountiful and there are plenty of outdoor activities such as parks, creeks, greenbelts, hiking and biking trails. It's an ideal place for people who love the outdoors, shopping (Barton Creek Mall) as well as the proximity to downtown Austin where you can enjoy and amazing nightlife.
West Lake Hills is an especially popular area with its great rolling hills, gorgeous views, and proximity to both the city and the Colorado River. It is also within the Eanes Independent School District, the top school district in Austin. Many families with children are looking at top notch school districts.
East Austin is very artsy and is going through a revitalization period. There is a lot of excitement in this part of the city because of the amazing food trucks, art exhibits and the bohemian feel that has connected so many residents. Being this close to downtown can be electrifying.
Living in downtown Austin is great for those who want to be in the center of everything! Did you ever think you would want to watch the largest bat colony fly out from under the Congress Ave Bridge? Austin is the home of Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant who likes to haggle over the price of cheese at Whole Foods on Lamar and 5th. Stop in at any Mexican food place and enjoy the best Breakfast Tacos of your life. Into health and Fitness? We have over 200 parks, running and biking trails, lakes like Austin and Travis, more than 200 gyms, yoga studios, healthy restaurants, and health food stores.
