Selling a home is generally never an easy experience, even under the best of circumstances. In our case, the home had been in our family for 51 years and held a lifetime of memories, family, and most everything I can remember from my childhood. Plus, we lived 3.5 hours away from the home. As soon as we began thinking of selling the home, the entire process had the possibility of being an overwhelmingly emotional and stressful ordeal.
