About Katrina

I am Katrina Shimer, a Southwest Florida Realtor, and a true Naples local with deep roots in this community. I have lived in Naples since I was four years old, and my knowledge of this area comes from more than maps, market reports, and MLS data. It comes from growing up here, watching the area change, knowing the neighborhoods, understanding the schools, learning the back roads, and seeing how each community has developed over time. Southwest Florida is not just where I work. It is where I grew up, raised my family, built relationships, and created a life. Real estate has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a second-generation local real estate professional, raised by a real estate broker and a general contractor. That combination gave me a unique perspective early on. I learned to look at property from more than one angle. I learned how location, structure, condition, land, neighborhood trends, flood zones, insurance concerns, resale potential, and lifestyle all come together to affect a buyer or seller’s decision. I grew up around conversations about homes, lots, construction, repairs, negotiations, and the details that most people do not notice until they become expensive. Before becoming a full-time Realtor, I spent many years as a teacher. That background still shapes the way I work with my real estate clients today. I believe people make better decisions when they are informed, prepared, and supported. Whether you are buying, selling, relocating, investing, downsizing, retiring, searching for a second home, exploring investment properties, or trying to understand what your next move should look like, my role is to guide you through the process with clarity, strategy, and honesty. For buyers, I help you look beyond the photos and understand the details that can affect your decision, including roof age, property condition, flood zones, insurance availability, HOA fees, open permits, rental rules, neighborhood fit, resale value, and total monthly cost. I work with families looking for more space, buyers searching for family neighborhoods, people relocating to Southwest Florida, retirees planning their next chapter, snowbirds looking for a seasonal home, clients with special needs considerations, and investors evaluating second homes or investment properties. Because I grew up here, I understand how different one neighborhood can feel from another, even when they are only a few miles apart. For sellers, I focus on preparation, pricing, presentation, marketing, negotiation, and problem-solving so your home is positioned properly from the beginning. I work with homeowners who are selling a longtime family home, downsizing, relocating, retiring, selling a second home, listing investment properties, or navigating more complicated situations such as distressed sales, preforeclosure, inherited properties, life transitions, HOA concerns, insurance issues, or flood zone questions.
