Prior to putting our house on the market, I interviewed three well rated realtors and asked them to come prepared for a given scenario. I asked tough questions and reviewed their materials carefully. Katrina was far and away the best qualified realtor for our sale, with detailed analyses of the market in our neighborhood (she sold many of them), an in-depth understanding of the homes, their idiosyncrasies and remedies, a clear, progressive plan for how and where to advertise and competitive rates. Given that this was an estate property, we held a massive yard sale to empty the house. Katrina jumped right in, advertising the sale, giving hints on how to set it up and set prices, and showing up early the morning of the sale to pitch in. It was a very tiring and successful day, but Katrina stayed with us to the end. In addition, there were some unruly neighbor situations that Katrina helped handle with professionalism and patience to a peaceful resolution. Katrina kept in touch with me daily in the beginning, holding two open houses to increase the visibility of the property. Within a very short time, we had multiple bids and were negotiating toward a very agreeable price and set of contingencies. She arranged for and was present at all the inspections and repairs, as I live out of town, and made the closing process painless. I was in a difficult situation with the passing of my sister. She lived in a different state than I do, so when it came time to sell her house, I was pretty nervous. Katrina was recommended to me by one of my sisters friends, and from our first conversation to our last, I have been extremely impressed. She provided just enough information so that I could make decisions, but never overwhelmed me. She was able to provide reputable local vendors to take care of some repairs, and she actually oversaw the cleaning company to ensure that the make ready was to her satisfaction (she made them come back as she was not satisfied). Once the house was on the market, she held an open house, and ever brought a mortgage specialist with her incase any potential buyers needed that assistance. The house was put on the market on a Friday, and I have multiple offers by Sunday. She was even able to get all of the closing documents to me without having to fly to AZ. (They sent a notary to my house to sign - just awesome). Closing went smoothly, and she kept me informed the entire time. I highly recommend Katrina if you are looking for a fantastic agent!
