I expected the process of finding my first home to take at least one year. In my mind, I set aside 2 months just to find the right agent, and then 10 months of searching for the right home. Kathy was the first Realtor I reached out to, on a Thursday, and told her I was agent shopping, didn't want any commitment and was planning to take my time for this process. She encouraged me to take my time and explore my options, but did have a home that fit our wish list and booked a viewing for that Saturday. We put and offer on that house the next day.
