What I like about being a Realtor: The first thing that comes to mind is that I get to meet new people that become life-long friends. How did I get here? Don’t worry, I’ll give you the short version. I was buying my first home when my agent suggested that I would make an excellent Realtor. At first, I was flattered, but a few days later, I said to myself, “Why not look at it a little closer? I have a Master’s degree in Management and Marketing. I am used to studying. So, I took a class and really enjoyed gathering all the information and reflected on how much I enjoyed looking at the new listings, the decor, reading the contracts, evaluating the pricing and how it was being presented. It was more fun than work. I obtained my real estate sales license and signed up with a leading company in my area. I became a Board member at the Los Altos Association of Realtors to learn about the inner workings of the real estate business. After many listings and sales, and more classes, I obtained my Broker’s license and CRS status, (Certified Residential Specialist) of which only 5% of agents have obtained. I became active in the Women’s Council of Realtors, receiving awards for my work with them. Six years ago, my husband, my little yorkie and I moved to Myrtle Beach. I obtained my SC Broker’s license and am busy at my favorite hobby...I mean job. So, if you want a Realtor that will handle your purchase or sale with intention and care, I'm your Realtor.
