Born in Clearwater, Florida, Joe moved to Citrus County at the age of 4 when his father opened and managed the Crystal River branch of Heritage Federal Savings and Loan. Joe attended all K-12 at the Lecanto public schools and played Football and Baseball through school and local leagues. Growing up in a family of real estate professionals, Joe developed a great appreciation for the natural beauty that the Nature Coast of Florida had to offer. While Joe would leave Citrus County for college (University of Florida) and law school (University of Houston), he always held a deep connection to West Central Florida, as a multi-generational Floridian. After practicing law in Mount Dora, Florida for over a decade, Joe returned to the West Coast in 2014, when he joined with friends to form the law firm of Lieser Skaff Alexander, PLLC. Even while practicing law full time for over 13 years, Joe never left the field of real estate, and in 2016, Joe made the decision to return to his roots at Alexander Real Estate, Inc. A consistent Multi-Million Dollar Producer, Joe brings over 22 years of legal acumen to the practice of real estate sales and property management. Having participated on the legal side of countless transactions and title issues, Joe has the knowledge to guide his clients through even the most treacherous deals.

While professionally driven, Joe developed a strong belief in community involvement from the example of his parents. Joe’s community service has included leadership positions in the Salvation Army Lake-Sumter Advisory Board, the Educational Foundation of Lake County, Inc. (former President), the ARC Sunrise of Central Florida (former Vice Chair) and Cornerstone Hospice Operations Board of Directors. Currently Joe serves as a Director and a Past-President of the Tampa Film Institute, Inc. (dba Gasparilla International Film Festival) and was the Co-Chair of the MLS Committee for the Realtors Association of Citrus County. In addition, Joe is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Academy of Environmental Science in Citrus County and the Florida Bar’s Real Property Probate and Trust Law Division and the Landlord/Tenant Committee of the Florida Bar. In the past, Joe served as a Committee Member for the Fifth Judicial Circuit Professionalism Committee and was the President of the Lake County Bar Association.
Joe is married to Carrie and they have a spirited "four legged son"/dog, Teddy, a donkey named Sasha, and a heifer named Babe. When not at the office, Joe enjoys thinking about real estate and better ways to market your property.
