Jon Malcolm just helped find and close on a house I wanted. I cannot talk about his knowledge of the market, but I can express my opinion about his use of that knowledge, his communication skills and his professionalism. My search for a house to buy lasted for, perhaps, two months or so. Jon's theme throughout the search was DUE DELIGENCE. And he was right. He gave me the opportunity to get into every house that showed promise of meeting my search criteria. Although he lives and works in Washington, DC, he drove from there sometime as late as 8:30 pm to show me a listing in the Randallstown/ Owings Mills, MD area that I was interested in. To me, this was a measure of his dedication to his work. In a world where we have become more comfortable with working at our convenience it is refreshing to have someone like Jon who puts himself at the disposal of his clients. Jon was very patient during my frustration with the process ( multiple lender changes, multiple offers denied, multiple showings )and encouraged me every single step. He was always a phone call away whenever time I needed a question answered. (Jon always try to answer and if he couldn't he would always call back no matter what time.) He went above and beyond his duties as an agent ( i didn't have a ride or a driver's license and not only would he pick me up to go to showings but he also helped me get over my fear of driving and got my license) to make sure I accomplished my dream of purchasing my first home.
