I've been separated for several years, have three kids, and was renting. Rent was going up and the kids and I wanted something different and closer to school. I was looking at rentals, but all the rentals had gone up hundreds of dollars a month and the ones that were still affordable were in bad areas. Seeking a new property I decided to see what it would take to purchase a home. I looked at a few properties with a very nice realtor and submitted several applications. I was approved, but with down payment requirements that I could not meet. I decided to seek out first time home buyer programs and was put in touch with John. John was great, knowledgeable, and on top of things. He helped me secure financing with several other lenders, but the down payment requirements were still too high. I had resigned myself to continue to rent and stay were I was; even though unhappy with the decision. John called me at 8:30 one evening with a lender on the line. I had already decided it was not going to work, but after a lengthy discussion it was again a possibility. When I needed insurance, John had close to a dozen companies sending me quotes. When the home inspection came back, John walked me through it and worked on my behalf. When I had questions, he was there regardless of the time of day. He was my advocate and helped me through the entire process. I doubt I would have purchased the house without his help and am very thankful for all of his help. It was a pleasure working with John and am very happy that he was there through this experience. Thank you John.
