She's very knowledgable about the LA housing market, but more importantly she's honest and genuine. Her communication skills are phenomenal and she was detailed orientated in all aspects of the purchase process (showing, negotiating, escrow and inspections).

My father lived in South Pasadena and though I grew up there it had been three decades since leaving my hometown. When he passed away in December we were faced with a lot of unknowns and an unfamiliar environment to sell his house. Jodi was recommended to us and she was incredible! She recommended all the people we needed to get the house emptied and cleaned and the house ready to sell in just a couple of weeks. Her photographer made the house look great and she managed three open houses that had over 700 visitors and within a week of the house going on MLS we had an unbelievable 56 offers. Jodi’s expertise and experience were instrumental in guiding us on who to respond to and how to respond and in the end the bidding ‘war’ resulted in our achieving a sales price that we could never have imagined getting. Jodi Deranja offers service at a level above the rest. Over the last 3 years, Jodi has represented our family in selling a home, finding a lease, and purchasing our new home. Her knowledge regarding appropriate pricing, transaction negotiation, and all aspects of buying and selling a home is truly above and beyond. Her ability to successfully market our home led to 6 qualified offers all above asking. Our final sale price was far above our original ask. Due to the short time of escrow in our sale, Jodi helped us secure a lease for a new home and actually wrote the lease for the owner as their representative was not moving this along. When it was time to purchase our new home, the market was extremely competitive, and our offer was accepted over 4 others, including one with a higher offer price, due to Jodi’s assistance in creating the most attractive bid. She was able to make creative recommendations for terms that were beneficial to the sellers, because she had maintained close communication with the seller’s agent, and understood the parameters that were important to them beyond just the sale price. As a further example of Jodi’s commitment to her clients, Jodi met a plumber at our new home twice to arrange for an install of a sewer clean out so that a successful sewer inspection could be completed. I would also note the seller’s were very appreciative of her efforts in not only getting this done, but negotiating a reasonable fee for this service through one of her many referral sources. In summary, I cannot recommend Jodi highly enough- she is a treasure.
Jodi went above and beyond to get my wife and I into our perfect home. We have a baby due in a few months and wanted to be in a home with time to put everything together before baby arrives. Without Jodi's guidance, I have a feeling we'd still be spending our weekends scouring open houses. I truly can't speak highly enough of her.

Jodi was amazing to work with. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to get back to us if we had questions. She always had a great recommendation for whoever we needed (plumber, exterminator, HVAC guy, etc.). She helped us close a deal on a house quickly. It was the first house my wife and I bought, and we felt like we were in very good hands. Would recommend Jodi to anyone!

Jodi has a wonderful understanding of the Sherman Oaks and Studio City area where we concentrated our search (though I know her knowledge extends well beyond here.) she had a firm understanding of what my husband and I were looking for and she found us our beautiful home! Jodi is amazing. You would be fortunate to have her on your team. My purchase was part of a complex 1031 exchange, and Jodi went above and beyond in countless circumstances over the course of the process. From our initial conversation about the market for investment properties in LA, Jodi showed not only market expertise, but an intuitive sense about my own personal needs and preferences. As I am new to LA, Jodi was able to recommend other superstar professionals for everything from tax advice, mortgage, and insurance, to a window repair company willing to service just one single window (I had searched on my own for this to no avail). Viewing properties with her was so fun, and she worked with my hectic schedule to make sure we saw things as early as possible. She always had immediate insight on the potential purchase, and when I showed strong interest in a property, she did research (without my asking) on the potential rentability of the place. Her research paid off - the condo I ended up purchasing rented quickly and at my asking price. When I thought I had found "The One," Jodi helped me feel confident about putting in an offer by giving her insight on all the upsides I hadn't even considered, while also looking at the issues I perceived as downsides and providing solutions or perspective on them. During the transaction, she advised me on my contingent offer (which was accepted without negotiation), led the communication with my team in SF on the sell side, the 1031 company and our team in LA for the purchase. When the buyer in SF was not performing, Jodi helped move THAT situation along as well! Then in the final moments of the purchase, we hit another snag, this time with the 1031 company, which Jodi also single-handedly resolved. Jodi also served as my agent to rent the unit; this process was likewise seamless and ended in a wonderful result. I have a beautiful townhome that I love, which is rented to a fantastic tenant.
