As I stated in my review on Zillow, Jim is highly knowledgeable about the area, very responsive and can quickly mobilize his team to show homes when most convenient for us (very flexible!), and highlights things that he notices about prospective homes based on his experience that my husband and I may have missed (infrastructure stuff) to ensure the buy process goes smoothly and that we fully understand what we are purchasing. During the sell process, Jim regularly offered his professional feedback alongside of realistic suggestions to ensure our home presented itself to the current buyers' interests, has a huge network of highly regarded (reliable!) professionals that he proactively offered when it came to fixing things during our inspection, and really went above and beyond to help us navigate the transactional and emotional side of home selling.

As first time homebuyers and new to the area (and state), Jim was incredible! Within our first conversation with Jim, he really took his time to listen and hear what it was we were looking for and made recommendations accordingly. Not only did he send us to a neighborhood we fell in love with, but he went above and beyond to find and get us our “dream home”. In an arena where most realtors are about the sell, Jim is about his customers and their families. He was always accessible and patient to answer our (many!) questions. Jim Venema was our agent throughout majority of our homebuying process. He was referred to us by a coworker who was so impressed by his honesty and integrity when she bought and sold her homes. Jim was referred to us by a coworker after she had worked in the past with Jim multiple times buying and selling homes.
