Had a great experience buying my first home with Jim! He is knowledgeable not just in home buying, but also home building which felt like an advantage as a first time homebuyer with no real experience. Always received prompt responses whenever messaging - even on weekends and holidays, oops! - and I never felt like I had any “dumb questions.” I had already been pre-approved but Jim recommended getting multiple quotes and offered references for lenders; ended up shopping around and going with one of his suggestions, which ended up saving thousands. While walking through homes Jim would point out suggested repairs, what it would take to fix, how extensive, and estimates of cost or whether he thought it could be done myself. He provided recommendations on repair services, including being willing to assist himself on repairs. When it came time to place a bid on a house, Jim provided guidance and best recommendations for a successful offer, helping to decide whether to bid what the house is worth vs what it’s worth to me. Overall, had a great time looking at houses with Jim, listening to his advice and learning from his personal expertise with building homes. Really felt like his opinion could be trusted and gives you the sense that he’s looking out for you with every home viewing.
