Jessica Burns
We are first time home buyers. We've been on the road chasing travel assignments for the past 4 years. Living out of our 5th wheel with the eventual dream of settling in the central coast. Jess made that happen. I initially called her about a listing where she was representing the seller, and we ended up chatting about real estate in the area for 45 min. That was not the house for us, but she was eager to help us find the right fit. Jess was super patient and nothing but helpful as we wrapped our heads around it. She generously gave us many hours of her time going over process and helping us hone our search criteria. It was definitely a bumpy road. It's a hard market if you can't pay cash around here, and people are not always upfront about the gnarly stuff with their property. Thankfully, Jess was always looking out for us, helping us avoid those big scary situations. She was always transparent with anything we wanted or needed to know while shielding us from the parts of the process which, in the moment, would just add stress. She also has a big network of local professionals on call. This comes in handy if you are trying for a short escrow. I don't think it is something every agent could pull off. We closed in 2 weeks with a conventional loan and inspections. You have to be exceptionally organized, stay vigilantly on top of things, and have a trusted network of pros willing to fit you in last minute. Short escrow is just one of many tricks Jess has up her sleeve. She says she likes to get "creative" to get the deal done (obviously well within confines of the law). Every property we looked at, she would have a new strategy to meet that particular situation. It is the kind of thing you only get from a wise and seasoned realtor. She's also fun as hell and an all around joyful person. Not only is she our realtor, but we now consider her a good friend. Thanks to Jess for all her many hours fighting for us.
