I was 24 years old living in Ohio and had never bought a house before. I had started looking for a house and knew I always wanted to live in Hilton Head, SC. So I started looking for places on zillow, but I didn't really know what to look for, or more importantly, what to NOT look for. I was connected with another realtor who was giving me places to look at. The other realtor did not seem like he was very knowledgably and just wanted to get a deal done quickly. My uncle connected me with Jenny and as soon as I talked to her, I knew I could trust her to look out for my best interests and not just try to rush into a sale. Jenny started pointing out things to me that I would never have known to think about. Just for example, she warned me to be on the lookout for Polybutylene piping, which I had never heard about before. Using her knowledge of things like this, she was able to get me a place for under asking price in a time in the market where things typically went for over asking price. The extra money was a big help when it came to renovations and repairs that I wanted to do. Even after the sale was finalized, she continued to help me by recommending contractors and plumbers to help me with the projects that I wanted to do. Being a first time homebuyer is a fairly stressful process, especially when you decide to go to a whole different state. Thankfully, I had Jenny to help me along with that process. I can't say enough good things about Jenny, I fully recommend her. Especially if you are coming from a different state, she will make sure you know everything you need to know before you purchase something.
