About Jeff

Jeff was born into real estate. A second-generation real estate broker, Jeff was raised in Nebraska where, like his father before him, he went into the real estate field only a month after earning a degree from Trinity International University. His career began at the side of a prominent businessman from the Chicago area, where Jeff oversaw the management, acquisition & disposition of assets such as hotels, office buildings, Broadway theatre & even a castle! In 1998, Jeff sensed that there was something missing from this exciting career: serving families. So, he walked away from the corporate real estate world to pursue a career in residential homes sales. Since then, Jeff has served the needs hundreds of families wishing to pursue their real estate dreams. At the core of his business is the belief that a client’s needs come first. Whether you are buying a home, selling a home, or both, Jeff’s desire is for you to have a great experience. Jeff & the entire Ristine Team will work diligently to be certain this process is an enjoyable (and stress-free!) one.

We contacted Jeff Ristine as well as several other agents as we began looking for an agent in early fall for a sale in the spring. He won us over and we are so pleased. He arranged to do our drone photos when the yard still looked nice . He had an excellent stager (another fabulous perk of working with him). She helped us make up a checklist to prep the house. In early spring Jeff's secret weapon, a photographer that really put our house in the best light, sompleted the final steps of our house prep. Our house was listed March 5, 2020, we got a contingent offer on March 6, 2020, which Jeff helped negotiate the best. offer in a contingency situation. We ended up closing on our sale May 10, 2020 (mind you, this is all during the state quarantine). Jeff and his team of people are the complete package, so I would highly recommend him for the sale of your home

I’ve never spoken to or dealt with Jeff, which I found extremely unprofessional. Dana was my agent and point of contact and yet required Jeff’s approval for every detail so I never received a straight answer upfront. Didn’t seem very experienced or knowledgeable and so she second guessed everything I told her, even went behind my back to corroborate my facts and came back to me with false information which was very frustrating. Example 1: “Dana, I do not pay property taxes because it’s waived since I am a Disabled Military Veteran with an 80% rating. Here’s the paperwork stamped by Kane County”. A week later I receive a phone call and email from Dana stating that I have not paid my prior year property tax.... WHAT?! Seriously?! Turns out I was correct and the attorney she teamed me up with backed me. Thank goodness for him because she was not knowledgeable at all about VA anything! Example 2: During Dana’s initial walk through of my home, she claimed I have a humidifier (I had no clue what that was, especially being it was a 5 yr old new construction home) so I checked it off on the paperwork Since I though she knew what she was talking about. During the buyers inspection, their inspector confirmed I did not have a humidifier. Guess who had to credit the buyer for a humidifier??? Example3: During negotiations the buyer wanted a $600 credit to level a very small portion of land to keep the fence door from sticking a little, I said no. She tried to push me to give them the credit because she felt they might walk... 5k escrow and they will walk over $600 cosmetic??? Unlikely. But she was persistent and I was not budging. Guess what? They did not walk. House was still very new and in immaculate condition. Only issue was a humidifier credit of $500. I’m glad I listened to my own gut. If you are VA affiliated, look elsewhere and save some headaches.

Jeff and his team are top notch in every way!! Very prompt, accurate, attention to all details and very thorough. very ethical in every aspect of the transaction. No need to worry with Jeff and his team, they handle everything from start to finish with no worries!! This is my second time using Jeff and I will definitely use him again when the time arises. A pleasure doing business with Jeff and his team. He took all the stress out of listing our rental property and getting it rented out very quickly.

Easy to work with, and good communication. Our house was sold within the timeframe provided. Have very good knowledge about what they do. They always communicate with you, phone and email, I preferred email. Have a lot of access to buyers.
