We had a bad experience with our first realtor during the peak season to sell in Alaska. By the time we hired Jean in October (now the 4th realtor between buying and selling we had worked with in our time in Alaska), our home had been on and off the market (due to the listing expiring and not being updated) for over 8 months. I had initial reservations while interviewing multiple realtors because she worked for Military Movers and I was worried she only had contacts within the military community, those concerns were quickly put to rest and ultimately her warm personality and success won us over. Within the first week of hiring Jean, we had a full price offer! Amazing. Unfortunately, the buyer couldn’t get the financing straight and had to pull out of the deal. Jean made sure we received the full earnest money (the buyer tried to keep it) and put our house back on the market that same day. Within four days, we had another full price offer that went to closing. In less than 2 weeks on market, Jean was able to get two full price offers for our home. To say we were anything less than incredibly pleased with her work is an understatement. Please keep in mind that a week after hiring Jean, we moved to Australia for work. Despite the time zone differences and having to correspond over digital means, there wasn’t a single hiccup throughout the process on her part. During the harsh winter in Alaska, she personally made sure our home was always show ready, even if they meant doing a little extra shoveling.
