My husband and I were exceedingly lucky to have just randomly chosen Janis from HAR because we would not have gotten the house we did without her as our realtor. She is patient - we are stubborn and older first time home buyers. My husband is a nitpicking engineer and I'm an over busy lawyer with young kids. Her calm and intelligent approach to answering our questions helped us to not panic throughout the process. She was able to navigate our two personalities really beautifully. She was realistic - she was open and upfront about a home that was a good fit or not for us. She kept in mind what we wanted but also the market. She was on top of things - this woman must work night and day because she was responding to us and our worries at all hours. It became apparent why she was selling so many homes, she was hustling. She moved fast and knew how to keep us moving despite being busy (but I never felt rushed). She's a connector - if she didn't know how to do it (fix a solar panel) then she had someone on the phone in five seconds who could. She is educated - I have high expectations of the people I work with and their skills. As an attorney, I was appreciative that no matter what it always seemed like she was protecting our legal interests. She knows Kingwood - She knew all of the ins and outs - what homes to expect and the best fit for us. She's a negotiator - I really believe that her high EQ helped us come to a purchase price with our buyers. She knew how to handle both the buyer and the buyer's realtor through a tough fought purchase.
