I wrote this review back when we bought our house in December of 2020. To say things were chaotic would be an understatement. I am happy to say this review aged perfectly. I wanted to update and state that even almost four years later Jamis continues to be incredibly helpful. We occasional reach out for advice and they are always kind enough to take the time and help. We have referred several friends to Jamis, and they all rave about their amazing experiences. Here is my original review: If you are looking for an agent who will walk barefooted on Legos for you, look no further. My partner and I were in the very early stages of looking for a home and looking for some guidance. Our friends had recently purchased their first home and could not stop singing the praises of Jamis. After a casual weekend of open house hopping, we stumbled upon our dream home. Completely unprepared, we reached out to Jamis, and they were immediately in it with us. Their knowledge of the local market, combined with their vast experience in home renovation, was a huge asset. They walked us through our house, giving us realistic feedback on potential issues and future projects. Unlike any other agent I had encountered, they rolled up their sleeves and stressed the importance of finding a house with good bones and not just a pretty facade. They genuinely cared that we were going into a sale prepared and informed and were not just looking for a commission. Jamis walked us through every step, every question, even when the nerves kicked in. We never imagined being able to buy a home as quickly as we did. Honestly, had it not been for Jamis, we would not be spending our days in our dream house.

Jamis is literally one of a kind! I can't say how much I appreciated her thoroughness, insight, thoughtfulness, and wisdom...she knows her stuff! She made an otherwise stressful time fun and easy by remembering all the details and helping us sell our home with ease. She listened to our needs and was always accessible. Jamis is THE best agent out there! My partner and I were first time homebuyers, which can be confusing and stressful in a "normal" market but even more so with how the housing market right now. Jamis was so patient with us and never gave up. She put up with all of our questions--and we had A LOT (again, first time homebuyer here). Literally the best experience in home buying I could have ever asked for. Stop searching for anyone else and just work with Jamis. They were thorough and knowledgable and explained things to us in a way we could understand and make informed decisions. They were happy to go as slow as we wanted or, as the situation turned out, as quickly as was needed to get us the place we wanted at a reasonable price. They were patient, informative, communicative, responsive, respectful, conscientious, and intelligent. They were, point blank, the only reason we got the place we did. I cannot say enough great things about this human.

I can't recommend Jamis enough; my husband and I were looking to buy a home for a second time, but it was our first time buying a house in Portland. As buyers, we had so many questions, a lot of anxiety, and moments of decision fatigue. Throughout that, Jamis was patient, matching our pace and never pressuring us to make any decision. Before we moved to Portland, we wanted to buy a house. We interviewed MANY real estate agents in the area, but it was Jamis who really offered what we were looking for. We asked over 10 questions, not only about her experience but about the entire process. Out of all the agents, Jamis nailed it every single time! When we bought another property out of state, Jamis was still kind enough to keep the door open for advice. Jamis cared about us all the way and went above and beyond ANY other agent we’ve worked with.We only wish there were more dedicated, professional, diligent, intelligent, and responsible agents like Jamis in this country. When we sell our home and purchase again in Portland, we will not hesitate to do it with Jamis, because she truly had our best interest at heart.
