Homebuying in Portland for first-timers in the tail-end of 2020 was a nightmare. Houses going 40-50k over asking, gone within 5 days. We were out trying to get a house as first time home buyers, and were completely overwhelmed. Jamis somehow found the most amazing house for us, in the most amazing neighborhood, by getting us in the day after the price was reduced, and got our offer accepted within three days. At one point were out there during the wildfires, wearing gasmasks during a pandemic, looking at houses. It was wild. I'll never forget it. Jamis somehow made it work. Of course we had to hustle a bit, but Jamis matched us hustle-for-hustle. If you're desperate to find a house as a first-timer in Portland and think it's hopeless, call Jamis.

Jamis was amazing at keeping our stress levels under control. We were living in Portland, buying a house in New York, and they helped us have an accepted offer on our Portland home the day after our first open house. We had to move before our house went on the market in Portland and we felt 100% confident in leaving them to handle everything. I felt guilty being unable to take care of everything I wanted to before I flew out to NY for good and Jamis took care of all my loose ends with no issue. Their instincts were so good they helped us receive a better offer on our home without us even having to do anything. And I won't even go in to how tenacious they were even when the buyers' escrow company experienced a corporate-wide, week-long computer shut down.
