It's rare to find someone who combines expertise, flexibility, intelligence, incredible work ethic, and is also a true pleasure to be around -- especially when you are undertaking something as important and daunting as buying a home. James is all of those things and more. We absolutely could not have have navigated our first-time home-buying process without him. (And we would not have wanted to!)
Some highlights:
James's patience, effort in getting to know our preferences, and flexibility were way beyond our expectations. Partway through our home search, we decided to look in the east bay rather than in San Francisco. James immediately switched tacks and was able to seamlessly guide us through a new market, even one where he had not traditionally guided most of his sales.
People love working with James. Not just us, the clients -- but also other realtors, title companies, movers, sellers, and on and on. His kindness, sense of fun, diplomacy, and humility go a long way in a business where relationships are so incredibly important. When we say James represented us, we were honored have him truly represent us not just as buyers, but as people. I honestly believe that the relationships he was able to foster on our behalf made a huge difference in us finding our home.
My partner and I often joked that James is "the hardest working man in show business," but it is sincerely true -- and he does it with the joy of a person who really loves the work he does. James tirelessly scoped out properties on both sides of the bay, took walkthrough videos for us of prospective homes, sorted through disclosures and interpreted them for us, found us experts to consult with... even watched our newborn baby in the driveway of prospective homes while we toured inside! (That's how much we trust him!)
I hope it goes without saying how enthusiastically I recommend James to anyone buying or selling a home. You couldn't be in better hands.
