Helen Duncan

This is our second property with Helen. She is always prompt in communicating with us and happy to answer any questions. She makes things easy to understand. Helen was very hands on through the inspection process and made it clear what we needed to do and what we should request for our new home. She would always bring up possible issues that might arise such as our appraisal contingency so that we would be prepared and ready for challenges. We will use Helen again but might not have to because she helped us find our forever home.

We found Helen at an open house while looking for a home to buy. The first thing that impressed us was that Helen understood we were looking for a home, not just a house. She listened and understood our desires but, more importantly, she understood our limits. She is very honest and did not just try to sell us the first house we thought appropriate. She helped us brainstorm each house we considered and when we settled on one, she was very strong in her working for us in negotiations. She helped us settle on an amount, without pushing any agenda but ours and when we made the offer and it was accepted, we were all quite happy. When the appraisal came in significantly lower than the offer; she helped us renegotiate and saved us money, at a time when every dollar counted. <br/><br/>One other thing. We were to meet at a house on the list of open houses and she, my wife and I were all coming in separate cars. She and my wife got there about 5 minutes before me. When I got there, they approached my car and suggested I not bother even going into the house because of a very strong mold smell. Fine with me. Later, my wife told me that Helen had smelled the mold almost as soon as they entered the house, even though it was most visible in the back of the house.
