While I am original, from Philadelphia and having graduated from Temple University with a BA in Psychology and 17 years in state government, we embarked on a new business venture in Montego Bay, Jamaica. After my wife and I closed our business in 1996, we arrived in Venice, Florida, sight unseen with two children and a Golden Retriever. We quickly realized that we found our slice of paradise. Venice had a small-town feel with friendly and community-involved people.
Our children were fortunate to attend Venice High School and graduate from The University of South Florida and Florida State University. We owned and operated a couple of businesses in Sarasota and Venice. After closing those businesses, in 2003, I became a Realtor® and through “the good times” and “the bad times”, I remained committed to my real estate business.
Over the years, I am happy to say that many of my clients and customers have become close friends. For me, the real estate business has always been a relationship business. I treat my clients and customers, as I would expect my family and friends to be treated in any real estate transaction, with integrity, respect and that their best interests always come first. One of my many goals has been to develop a team of Realtors, administrative and marketing staff that reflects my same principles and ideals. Thus, I have formed the Compass Group Florida team.
