On a professional note, I'm NOT your "typical agent"! My family has been in real estate for the past 90 years and has been involved in building, construction, real estate brokerage, property management and both residential and commercial development so it's only natural that I would find my passion in serving others in the real estate business but quite honestly, it took me a while to get there.
I graduated from Penn State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree and shortly thereafter began a 27 year career in the environmental consulting and remediation industry. I’ve always been a “serial entrepreneur”, so I started my own environmental consulting & remediation company in 1996 and then started a building and construction company in 2000 doing residential additions, new construction and commercial fit outs before taking on the challenge in 2001 of building my former environmental company from 2.5M to 11M in revenue. This whole time I knew that somehow, I needed to be involved in real estate so in 2003, I obtained my PA Real Estate Salesperson’s license and purchased my first investment property in 2004.
While I had planned to transfer to real estate as a full time career at that time, my second daughter was so excited to meet her family that she came into the world a few months early at a mere 3 pounds, 3 ounces and stayed in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit for a few months to gain her strength, so I decided to stay on and continue to build the environmental company to make sure everything remained stable for my family. I also continued in real estate part-time and started wholesaling properties to investors as well as buying & holding my own rentals and fixing & flipping properties.
Combining my passion for real estate and my passion for helping others, I’ve served as a board member and subgroup leader at two local Real Estate Investment Associations (REIAs) and I have presented to Realtors, investors and home inspectors on a variety of topics, related to real estate wholesaling, investment and environmental hazards such as oil tanks, asbestos and mold. I am also a regular contributor on various real estate related list serves and I have mentored individual investors and have helped them navigate the buying & selling process as well.
On a personal note, I’m originally from Delaware County, PA and currently live in West Chester, PA. I’ve been lucky enough to be married to my beautiful wife for over 22 years and have two beautiful daughters plus two cats and quite possibly the cutest puppy ever!
At my core, I am a coastal person and have had the benefit of spending most of the summers of my life at the Jersey shore and I have even lived there year round at two points in my life. I’ve been surfing and sailing since I was about 6 years old and still regularly enjoy doing both to this day. I also love helping others find their perfect beach home in Ocean City and the surrounding beach towns.
To me, family and genuinely helping other people is everything! I want to be the pebble that starts the ripple in someone’s pond that goes out generationally and truly improves their life. Maybe that’s as simple as allowing me to represent you when you are buying or selling your home or maybe its helping you buy that first investment property.
