About George

George Barrett, the Founder and Co-Owner of Homepage Realty, created Homepage Realty on two concepts, change and creativity. As a lifetime entrepreneur, these important values have lead George’s life and career, and will help move the local real estate industry into the future. Louisville is a town of traditions, but exclusive, stuffy, and traditional real estate sales does not need to be one of them. While other local business leaders and companies rely on their upbringing, social status, and local connections, George believes in leveraging technology and social trends to create something cool and new that like minded people will be attracted to. It is this “Millennial Mindset” that helped George create the vision for Homepage Realty. Born and raised right here in Louisville, George is an avid sports fan, triathlete, real estate investor, house flipper, and a licensed Realtor. In 2006 George and his business partners started a local restaurant called Chop Shop Salads. After turning Chop Shop into a successful local business, George sold his interests in 2010 and decided to step away from the daily business to pursue a new career in local real estate. He entered the world of realty with the intention of becoming an investor himself, however he found that helping clients achieve their dreams was much more emotionally rewarding. Now George focuses on the goals and dreams Homepage Realty’s agents, clients, and employees. George was blessed with a beautiful family that raised him to help others succeed, which is what gives Homepage Realty its compassionate heart for the city. George truly enjoys what he does every day because each one is different when you work in real estate. As an agent he also represents the best interests of each buyer, seller, and investor he works with.
