Garrett Decker Review.
I feel bad writing this review, but I never had such a negative experience with any realtor...
The short list of issues with Garrett:
1. Garrett misinformed me that the buyer is going to keep the tenants for one year. As soon as the contract was signed, to close in 33 days, he told me that the tenants must vacate the house prior to the closing date.
2. Garrett misinformed my tenants and the rent management realtor that the closing date is 5 days earlier than it actually was, which caused the following problems:
- The tenant replied that this is a disaster for them.
- The rent management realtor terminated the contract with me.
- I had to defend the tenants, asking Garrett to postpone the closing
date, to give tenants 2 months to move out.
3. While we got the new closing date, the tenants contracted for the first available rental house they found, to move out in three weeks.
4. Accordingly, I had to ask Garrett to change the closing date back to around the original date.
Garrett REFUSED TO WORK ON CHANGING THE CLOSING DATE. None of my arguments worked. So I asked him to provide me with the buyer or buyer’s agent email, but he refused. Then I had to tell him that I am going to fire him, if he refuse to work on realistic closing date. Hi replied that I can’t fire him.
5. After 3 days of arguments, the following was finally worked to stop him refusing to change the closing date:
I told him that I am going to write a performance review on his work.
6. Can it be worse than that?
Sadly, yes, it can:
By the closing day end, I sent a thank you message, despite the many issues, to Angel Decker, his wife (who did a good job on setting the final closing date).
As a reply I received two harassment notes, one as a text message, the other as an email.
