Exactly what I needed, at the time I needed it!
This is the first time I've moved- and I bought my very own place! Gail was helpful, patient, understanding, and timely.
The amount of stress I expected to experience during a phase like this was absolutely nonexistent. It's like everyone lied to me that buying a home was painful and arduous. I realize now that I was very blessed to have someone like Gail on my side- and there was undoubted clarity in all my decisions, and for sure on the side of the other party, for it to go that smoothly and that quickly.
I went from walking into the house of my dreams, without even knowing what my plan was (well, up until then, it was "get a credit card"), to owning it within about a month.
I know and respect Gail from outside this experience, and I have been long convinced of her dedication to listening to the Lord and being an outstanding counsel. I could tell her what I was thinking and she just- figured it out with me.
My best illustration has been that it's much like building a computer. At the start, it's overwhelming. What graphics card do I get? What monitors? Do I dish out for the fancy RGB RAM or is that someone just selling me something? But once you get all the pieces together, putting them in a case isn't that hard when you have someone there with you. You could still probably put the computer together on your own, but you might shock yourself, set something on fire on accident, or worse, fry the drive and have to start over again. But if you have an expert there with you, telling you "hey, don't do this on carpet," you get to skip that painful lesson and take their advice instead.
If that illustration totally went over your head, let me say it another way.
Having someone like Gail on your side is powerful. It's not like she holds your hand, but every step is pre-decided and planned out so the strides are just your size. And, at the end, you'll be thankful you had her with you.
