We had an terrific experience buying our first home with Julia Connor in a very competitive market. We navigated 40% price increases over the past two years, while also staring down surging interest rates this spring. It was obviously a tough environment, but Julia helped us every step of the way. Julia essentially did the impossible by finding a home in an elite part of Westchester for under a million dollars (not to mention negotiating down tens of thousands on the closing price). Aside from the dollars and cents, Julia helped us in every way imaginable from advising us on how (and whether) to write letters to owners to going through our final inspection so carefully that she made recommendations on our construction punchlist. She’s exacting but also creative, relaxed, and personable. She got to know us and our preferences and understood what we needed vs. wanted, and tried to make sure we got both. There are a million other things I haven’t mentioned, like pulling records, helping us get into the right schools, and knowing the best contractors, architects, lawyers. Did I mention she had to show us like a dozen houses to get all these variables perfect? She was honest, helpful, and meticulous — the complete package. I help investors buy single family rental homes in my day job, and I wish the institutional acquisition teams were as good as Julia. I can’t say enough.

I've worked with a number of real estate agents over the years, many of them excellent. But Francie is the absolute best. First, she's exceptionally smart. She absorbs and synthesizes information at an incredible rate. Second, she knows more about the area than I thought possible. If you point to a random house in the area, she can probably remember when it sold, what it's like inside, and a long list of other miscellaneous facts about it. Third, she has strong opinions that she can't stop herself from sharing. Most agents will wait for your reaction and then affirm it whatever it is. Francie, on the other hand, will immediately tell you what she thinks of a house. If you like it, but she thinks it's a mistake, she will forcibly push back. Coming from Brooklyn, this was invaluable, because we didn't know what to look for. Our preferences weren't calibrated for the suburbs. Even when she thought a house would be good, she made sure we understood all its shortcomings. Fourth, as one of the leading brokers in the area, many of the local contractors depend on her, and she's not shy about using that power to benefit her clients. Fifth, she's committed to making the process as smooth as possible, to make sure everyone is happy in the end. In our case, this included paying to install a chandelier and replace an AC fan. Her associate Melissa also spent several hours cleaning out the house of random items left behind.
