I found myself unexpectedly having to buy a house of my own when my ex broke up with me suddenly. We owned a house together, so I was neither prepared to purchase one of my own or ready to. My budget was really small, yet I had significant, specific requirements, given my lifestyle due to my business & pets. Plus, I was on a tight deadline to find a new home ASAP. Ellen was kind, extraordinarily patient, nurturing, & TRULY had my best interests at heart. She entertained my silly searches that weren't realistic, then gently, yet firmly guided me back to reality. There were places I liked but she pointed out things that she felt would be money pits or not suitable for my needs. She was like the real estate mother of dreams: she knew what was best for me, filling in the gaps where I didn't & where my emotions were overriding my logic. She took the time to really listen when I fell apart throughout the stress & grief I was going through from both the search & my breakup. Then came the matter of putting together the right team, especially when it came to financing. I was declined by numerous banks given the tax return statements from my newer business. She introduced me to several different lenders & alternative financing options & stayed patient & optimistic throughout. And I must say that everyone in her contact lists were also extremely caring, knowledgeable, & kind. She kept me on track, cheerlead me all the way, was available for every concern & question I had, & was part of an incredible support system to make everything come together. I truly didn't think getting a house I loved in an area I loved that wasn't a fixer-upper would be possible for me on my own. But in her vast network & decades of experience, Ellen helped make it happen. I would recommend her without a single hesitation to anyone looking for a realtor who truly cares & who goes above & beyond for her clients as if they were her own family.
