What an amazing experience we had with Edward Meltser. We are recommending him to everyone we know in the Riverdale area. We hired Ed to sell our co-op unit after having a terrible experience with our previous brokers who brought us one possible buyer (that fell through) during our 6-month exclusive with them. Ed came in and on day one made our apartment shine online. We had three offers in less than one month and we finally sold for well over asking price. Ed knows Riverdale, he's a resident. This is important when going with a broker. He was always present, continuously called/texted with updates, and made us feel like we were his only clients. Go with Ed. You won't regret it. I wish we found him before going with the other real estate brokers on Johnson Avenue.

Eddie helped us buy our new apartment while simultaneously selling our old one. On a number of occasions he came up with solutions to problems we thought were going to ground us. He helped us negotiate a fair price with the seller and found us buyers for our old place in record time. Eddie is incredibly responsive--around the clock. He has great connections and moved us through a laborious process surprisingly quickly.

Eddie truly exceeded all expectations. To highlight just a few examples: --> Prior to hiring, he did not ask us to lower our asking price as other real estate agents had. --> Within hours of hiring him, he started showing, and the offers started coming in. --> The morning after hiring him: he had phenomenal pictures of our apartment taken and posted , and we had two offers around asking price by highly qualified buyers. As sometimes happens, there were a number of "hiccups", but Eddie took care of things calmly, efficiently, and smoothly while telling us as much (or as little) as we were interested in knowing. He was very honest and ethical, to both sides, but at the same time, he did not let others take advantage of us. He always had a "backup plan". To name just a few hiccups he took care of quickly and smoothly 1. He had a highly qualified backup buyer (not a bluff) which helped push things along at times of difficult negotiations. 2. When the appraisal came in low, Eddie had his comps/explanations ready and took care of it. 3. Eddie reviewed the buyers board package and recommended any necessary changes. When he found that it was disorganized and sloppily handwritten (with a very particular board), he quickly had it typed up, labeled, and organized into sections. 4. When there was a newfound issue with plumbing (a day before closing!!), within hours he had a very reasonably priced plumber fix the problem. This was a highly stressful time since we were under a lot of pressure to sell ASAP and Eddie got the job done quickly, efficiently, and without compromising on price. He managed to keep us calm throughout the process (NOT an easy feat!). He was always available and easy to reach for questions, next steps, and updates. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an exemplar of professionalism and my family and I are extremely grateful to him.

To say that Ed is an ultimate professional is an understatement! He thoroughly communicates all details and makes sure you have full understanding of all aspects of the sale.
