We met with Robin 18 months ago when visiting during Thanksgiving 2020. She seemed to be the right fit. It started out so well. Over the next 18 months, we emailed, sent her our House hunting Criteria. We updated it several times. Being from California, we don't know Portland. we were hoping our realtor would fill in the gaps and search for homes in our best interest. We did buy a property, 6011 Davis Street, and have owned it for 1 month now, a home that is completely wrong for us. We plan on selling it ASAP. It met few of our Criteria. We can hear freeway noise, our home is one house over from 60th street, which has traffic, from 6 am to 2 am. It is located to very few restaurants and amenities. So after looking at the house in exactly 20 minutes ( we looked at 8 in 1 morning) We went ahead with the purchase. We should have heard a "you know....." but we did not. I felt like Robin should have fought for us and negotiated a bit more. The AC is completely broken (replacing we will be paying $6,500.00) she never even brought that up, electrical ( we told her to get a price reduction because of the issues, she did not negotiate that) Living in California, we did not do the walk through, we relied on Robin. We went up to move our son in the basement unit, the house was a mess. I spent a day in a room off the kitchen removing splattered artists paint from the floor. We have been touching up paint in every room from ceiling to the floor. Stains on the tiles upstairs. The sinks didn't drain in the kitchen, The yard front and back is over grown, There is rot on many parts of the porches we will replace and paint. We feel like the minute she had closed the deal , we were no longer important. We text 2 weeks ago, not a word. I do not even want to move into the house, we plan on renting it out until next year, My son will be buying a house here as well as my sister, we will not be using your real estate company. If anyone asks who we used , they will get an earful.
