After interviewing two other realtors, I selected Diane Dawson based on her superior display of market knowledge. She did the required 'homework' to have a strong basis for her recommendations for list price, likely appraisal price, expected time to sell and number of offers. Throughout, she displayed a strong sense of 'right and wrong' and clearly based her decisions on high morals; she was the consummate professional.
Diane was never condescending to this first-time seller, but always started simply to patiently and repeatedly explain all procedures and protocol. Her communication was very timely; she doesn't have standard working hours, but does what the job demands, day or evening or weekends. She never 'lost a beat' in making every planned event happen and courteously notified me of any change in plans. She kept my lawyer well and streamlined any interactions needed with him. Plus, she was highly sensitive to my schedule and demands and adjusted accordingly. Throughout, she gave me positive feedback and encouraged my initiatives. She is quite friendly and goes overboard to develop a working relationship. She is a good listener and displays a lot of empathy and understanding of what the seller is feeling.
Diane is well connected and respected in the 'industry' and can call on her many personal resources needed to solve any problem, including other realtors, appraisers, inspectors, and 'handy people' to fix potential house problem. Crisis management a her key strength; she takes on any task immediately and quickly finds a solution, lowering the stress on the seller.
It's a long, unpredictable journey for the seller, but Diane is 'with you' 100% for every twist and turn. I have nothing but high praise and enthusiasm for the stellar job she did! She's an amazing realtor and human being whom I have come to greatly respect.
