I moved away from Albuquerque in 2012 and needed to start renting my house out. It was nothing but pain, wasted money and stress for 5 years. Then, in 2017 I switched property management companies to Property Partners. When I called to inquire about their business, Desiree spent 45 minutes on the phone with me explaining how she was going to take care of my home and take the stress out of being a landlord. For the next 3 years she owned up to that and more! Not only did I stop losing money on my home, but I stopped stressing about it. Last year, the tenants she found for me in 2017 decided to move out. Desiree and I discussed selling the home and she took me on as a real estate client. To be honest, it was stressful... it took time to repair all the damage of 8 years and 5 separate tenants. Desiree took care of nearly everything in the process! She found contractors, priced out repairs, negotiated pricing and kept me updated as we moved forward with getting the home ready for sale. When she sent me the final pictures of my home I nearly cried it looked so beautiful. The home wasn't even on the market a week before it sold. Also, Desiree made sure the sales process went smoothly and found contractors to finalize the remaining repairs. In the end, Desiree took what had been one of my biggest financial losses in life and she made it a win. Selling a home out of state is disruptive, stressful and at times painful, but with Desiree managing the process it turned out wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone, and if I ever need to rent out another property I own, I am going to call her and beg her to move to Colorado and manage it for me! In a time where it is so hard to find a company to care about you in any regard, finding Desiree was a true blessing. We had invested in NM about 10 years ago and had never actually seen the property we were renting out. When it came time to sell, we initially utilized an agent who had helped us find our long term tenant. That realtor was not able to handle the sudden fiasco that came when dealing with a 6 year tenant that all of a sudden became less than cooperative when we decided to sell. Luckily, he referred us to Desiree. She had everything lined up to get the house ready to sell. Looking back had I just let her handle everything from start to finish, the process would have been much less of a headache for me and for Desiree. However, she let me use contractors I knew so I can cut down some of my costs. She also coordinated with my contractors directly since I'm out of state. While I was not expecting to get an offer until after the first of the year, Desiree was able to successfully obtain and close a cash offer while working with a challenging buyer's agent, but also a challenging client (me).
