I just closed the sale on my father's house near Roseburg. My realtor for this was Aric Ott of the Mary Gilbert Group, and I can't say enough good things about his efforts. We (my brothers and I) first made contact with Aric in late 2025, as we had made the decision to sell the house after our father had passed away. Even though we had no plans to list until early summer or so, Aric became involved right away and generated a market value report, suggested some ideas to put a nice 'shine' on the house, and what to do and expect in the meantime prior to listing. Bear in mind that Dad's house was not a high-end property or anything fancy - it was a simple, clean, solid rambler in an older subdivision. Nonetheless, Aric treated the process - and us - like we were selling a lakefront mansion. In addition to the limitations of marketing a smaller, older home, neither myself nor my brothers live near Roseburg, so 95% of our transactions were done by phone or e-mail. In spite of this added complexity, Aric remained professional, responsive and creative, and really demonstrated a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Roseburg area market. When we went to a live listing in June, the market had a lot of inventory, so we expected a long, dry summer. What do you know - we got an offer the first day! After a couple of weeks of negotiations, multiple cross-country phone calls and emails and texts with my brothers and with Aric, we reached terms with the buyer and sealed the deal. Thanks to Aric's efforts, diligence and intuition, we got the right buyer at the right time. I know we weren't his only active client at the time, yet he treated us like we were. The entire time Aric remained positive and upbeat - but always honest, logical and straightforward. Sometimes we needed to hear things we didn't want to hear, and Aric was able to convey those realities in a calming and productive manner. All in all, a great job by Aric Ott and the team at Mary Gilbert Group!

Deidre was always proactive to be sure i knew what was happening and what her recommendations were. She was very knowledgeable about the market and ways to make my home the most presentable it could be. Linda and I selected Deidre because she had done such a great job working with us a few years ago when we bought this property. We were not disappointed. She is a fantastic agent and I will use her again in the future

Let us just say that in all ways they far exceeded our expectations. I can’t imagine our experience being any better! In particular we have to call out the way Deidre Jovin handled the project of getting us into our new home. From the first time she reached out to us to inquire about our intentions in early 2024, to the long tour she gave us of many houses, and then on to her suggesting the new-home build possibility on the 429 Fairway lot. She was always diligent in getting answers to our many questions. Her vast knowledge of the step by step process and real estate legalities made us much less anxious about this challenging endeavor. We were very impressed with the sheer amount of time Deidre gave us in accompanying us to the various places we had to go, such as flooring and cabinet vendors etc. She was always there to advise and hold our hands through these very unfamiliar procedures. All in all we can’t say enough about Deidre’s competence and dedication to helping us in this challenge of buying a home from a distant location. She suggested using Tabor as the builder and we are very happy with the job they did, but Deidre was a great liaison for us to have in communicating our questions and concerns to Tabor. We are very happy with the efficiency and seamless nature of the transaction. And we know that comes from the parts of your organization that we never see, so thanks to them. And thank you for the wonderful gift basket that actually had so many useful items in it! Ok, need to get back to worrying about my new responsibility, a lawn!
