My wife and I cannot say enough about the service that David Smith at Urban Luxuries provided in selling our home. We had decided to purchase a new home first before spending a couple of months fixing up our old home to put on the market. Everything was going ok until the March COVID lockdown came to Houston - one day before our home was to be listed. To say we were concerned would be a huge understatement. We had already purchased our new home at the market value from February and were worried that we could take a huge loss on the value of the home we were selling due to the failing economy and dismal long-term outlook for improvement, not to mention that the lockdown would prevent people from even coming out to look at houses. David remained confident, as he saw no indication that house values would decline, and that he could still direct interest to our house. He answered all of our questions in great detail, and restored our confidence that we could sell our home as the value we had intended, regardless of outside circumstances. He recommended listing it at the value he formulated pre-lockdown, while at the same time emphasizing that we were in control and he would always be flexible to our needs and decisions. Upon listing our home we received interest almost immediately, and had an offer within 3 weeks that ultimately turned out to be the buyer. The buyers ran into some issues along the way, even deciding shortly before closing that the loan they had in place was not what they wanted. David was able to help negotiate with them and steer them to a better, FHA loan for their needs. He kept us up to date with all that was going on throughout the process, and was even able to negotiate prorated compensation to us from the buyers for going a couple of weeks past the due date for closing.
